"Jasper is being evacuated. Hwy 16 closed at Hwy 40 going west & Hwy 5 junction going east. Hwy 93 south from Jasper is closed. Another cell is coming down east side of Rockies from Grande Prairie & is supposed to arrive around midnight.
Likely BC had a tornado touch down, as did Webster AB. The massive storm cells are very active. There's citizen reports that they're bucketing at 108 Mile House. Not sure if accurate as there's an active system ongoing there. Traffic from Jasper coming into BC.
Electrical storm has arrived here 2 hours early. Just as 1000s are arriving from Jasper. It has potential to get ugly. Very ugly. Sheet lightning."
That's bad, really bad. We are hopeful there is no loss of life & no one gets hurt.
