To recap, the bruins have been eliminated, the Leafs have advanced, along with the Oilers and the Kraken, interesting Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far...
In $ news, First Republic Bank has been sold to JP Morgan Chase; this was the 2nd largest US bank failure in US history. $103.9 billion in deposits and $229.1 Billion in assets were purchased in the seizure sale. What does this mean to us... Honestly, I've no idea, but if history taught us anything, it can't be good...
Ok, so Pierre Poilievre was railing on about PM Justin Trudeau's trip to New York City, (he was working, all weekend, it wasn't a vacation) complaining about the PSAC strike and why wasn't the PM here doing anything about it... Well, guess what happened in the wee hours this morning... PSAC and the Federal government have reached an agreement. There will be no picket lines on Monday May 1 & all workers must report back to work. CRA isn't included in this & they will continue to strike. What does this mean? 120 000 workers will be back to work as of this writing, 35 000 CRA employees will continue to walk the picket line...
