REVIEW: LICORICE PIZZA
It’s hard to remember a time when we used to watch movies that were just about regular people and their lives.
A return to form for Paul Thomas Anderson. An absolute full flex of the man’s skills. One of the most gorgeously photographed films I’ve seen in the last 10 years. The 70 mm presentation should be mandatory.
It’s a very “time and place” movie reminding us that love conquers all. This was the only “real” film I saw all year in a theater and that was absolutely refreshing. I won’t ever forget this film. It’s a sweet and personal tale that reminded me just how potent Cinema can be. If you’re in NY or LA, please take advantage of that and get your ass out to the drafthouse.
