32. Why Some People Suck at Networking

When did networking become a game of trying to strategize and “leverage” people rather than building genuine relationships? I know I’m not the only one who has an inbox full of impersonal, self-serving, copied and pasted messages. It seems that many of us have forgotten that networking works best when it’s built on genuine, human connections. I made this episode to share some networking tips for recently graduated student-athletes, but ultimately I’m hoping this will encourage us to be more authentic, and less calculated when reaching out to others.
