Jerry Hubshman was named Hofstra assistant director of athletics for athletic development in September 2019. He also serves on Hofstra's "No Locker For Racism" Committee.
Hubshman came to Hofstra from Long Island University where he served as associate director of athletics for advancement since January 2019. At LIU he was responsible for the supervision of a three-person fundraising team, the soliciting of major gifts for capital projects and the annual fund, organizing the LIU Athletics Annual Golf Outing and the development and execution of marketing plans for football, basketball, and lacrosse. He also established the LIU Athletics Corporate Partner Program.
Prior to LIU, Hubshman had a three-year stint in the Stony Brook University Athletics department, serving as a marketing intern from January 2016 through January 2017, and then as a development officer from January 2017 through January 2019.
Hubshman was a full scholarship student-athlete for five years and a team captain in 2015 on the Stony Brook football team. He helped lead the Seawolves to consecutive Big South championships in 2011 and 2012.
A native of Dunmore, Pennsylvania, Hubshman earned a bachelor's degree in health science in 2015 and a master's degree in liberal studies in 2016 from Stony Brook.
