On today’s episode I have the lovely Cathy Bergstrom who is a Facilitator for groups of women who have come out the other side of abuse and are looking to connect with other women who are open to working on healing from their hurt.
Cathy went through the Mending the Soul program herself to work through her own experiences in her past with different forms of abuse at different times in her life. She was so inspired by what she learned in the program and how it helped her work through mending herself after all that she had been through, that she trained to become a Facilitator in the program.
She has a heart of gold, and loves running her small groups to help other women find a path to healing from the hurt they have been through.
Cathy has been through so much, her courage in using her experience to help others is truly inspirational.
In this conversation we openly share our trials, tears and triumphs.
In this episode we dig deep about so many issues and observations about abuse and recovery.
We talk about the benefits of group therapy and connecting with women who have been through similar experiences.
We explore how important it is to reach out to get some support.
Cathy is truly inspirational; I am forever grateful to her for sharing her experiences on this Podcast.
If you live in the states and you are feeling alone about what you are going through when you have come out the other side of an abusive relationship and you would like to connect with other women, you can contact Cathy via Facebook on the link I will leave in the episode notes.
If you live outside of America, and you would like to participate in a support group and can’t find one to connect with it might be helpful to contact a free domestic violence counselling service in your country and ask them if they know of women’s therapy groups you might be able to connect with.
And just a quick note about the sound on this recording, Cathy’s volume is lower than mine because of some technical difficulties. Sorry about the imbalance in the sound levels. Hope this does not get in the way of what is otherwise a very precious conversation.
I hope that you enjoy this talk with this lovely woman and that this interview inspires you too, to RISE and SHINE!
Subscribe. Enjoy. Share. Sending love and light, Sandy J

NOTE OF ENCOURAGEMENT: If you are struggling with your metal health please reach out for support with some form of counselling, therapy, or coaching. If you don’t know where to start to find a counselor, a good place to start is to talk to your Doctor. There are also many online counselling supports now available. If the Support Person is not a good fit for you, try another and another, until you have one that is the right fit for you. And don't forget, I help women to heal and grow, and help them to meet their challenges head on, to move towards a life they love.
