How to Protect Your Podcast With Contracts #podcasting

This video is an interview with Eric Farber, Attorney and CEO of Creators Legal.

We discussed the pitfalls of not using contracts as a content creator. Eric also emphasized the importance of using a Guest Release if you interview guests on your show.

A podcast is intellectual property that you create. Protecting your work requires contracts such as a guest release.

A podcast guest release is not a way for podcasters to try to acquire the rights to their guests' intellectual property. But rather it's a way for you to protect your rights to the contents of that interview itself to promote it and pass it on responsibly in the future.

A guest release may not be necessary for all podcasters. But if you're going to publicize your guests image words and other assets you need their permission to do so. And if you want to monetize your podcast, you need a Podcast Guest Release.
