I have found that most believers have no clue about what Hanukkah is all about, and as a result, just ignore this day as if it didn't even exist. Something else not known is that had the events leading up to Hanukkah not taken place, we probably never would have gotten a Messiah. The story of Hanukkah is truly an amazing one, in that the courage of a handful of common people, fought off a vast army of well trained soldiers, ultimately expelling them from their land. After gaining a deeper understanding of this holy day, maybe our outlook concerning it may become favorable towards it.
