In this segment, we begin to take a closer look at the social structure of the church during the time of the Apostles. Once we understand these 3 categories of believers, we can then get a deeper understanding of the pressures felt by the Gentile believers that caused them to feel the need to become proselytes. Realizing that the Gentiles had a bad grasp on the plan of God concerning them, Paul felt the need to pen this epistle to them, sternly opposing the idea that it was necessary for them to become Jews in order to be save
