Hello, and welcome to Season Two of unsaid at work. I'm your host, Catherine Stagg Macy, and this episode is just a little peek into what to expect in this new season. But first, can we celebrate making it to season two, I'm not great at stopping and celebrating milestones. I don't know if you resonate with that. We're always on to the next thing. If you're a climber, these big mountains metaphorically, and don't pause to look back and see how far I've come. So go me in Kermit, for making it this far. I started this project as a real passion project in a year ago, 2022, I didn't really have a clear vision for it. In fact, every time I thought about a strategy, and so suck the life out of me, and it was my wonderful business coach persuaded me to do it, as long as it was, I was having fun. And to let go of the and that was wise advice. So you're I have made it to season two. If you want to learn more about what I've learned on this journey so far, then listen to episode 37, the season one finale, with the help of a wonderful friend of mine, Ali, I talk about why I started the podcast and what I've learned about myself and change and doing new things along the journey. And but this is season two, this is all about season two. So let me tell you a bit about what's coming. My process to pick topics and guests, still remains fairly organic i for the topics that are of interest to me, thinking that'll probably be the case of being an interest for you, too. So if you ever come across someone you'd like me to interview on the show, then drop me an email, let me know about them and why you'd like me to have them on the show. Maybe if you know them, you can introduce me to them. There are some themes emerging on this podcast that will carry on in the season like tools and techniques for leaders who want to lead like they give a shit, how to nurture great cultures, how to grow teams from good to great, and social justice. How do we make workspaces inclusive for all of us, however, we show up and whoever we are in the world, by my conversation with Sofia Apostel, she hosts the fat Joy podcast, which I just love. She's helped me so much on my own journey and coming to terms with myself and my body. We talk about anti fat bias and how that shows up at work. And my conversation with internet Daniel's she's founder and CEO of just helpers, we talk about her experience of burnout, which I can completely resonate with. But also that's the intersectionality of being black in the workplace and how that increases your chance of burnout. There are conversations around emotions and trauma, which I think are super important and just get was no air time I think so I've invited trauma therapist, Laura Reagan on to talk about what do we mean by trauma? And how do we see the patterns of our own family dynamics in the workplace and how that triggers us. There's plenty of content for those of you interested in in building great cultures. I've got guests, Nick marks. He's a esthetician and a therapist with a very popular TED Talk who's got 2.6 million views of his TED Talk. We talk about happiness, like why is happiness such a useful measure in building great cultures? We all need more help to get better at running meetings and off sites. I've invited head harrassment in who's a fantastic facilitator. And he's going to help us explore how do we develop and host memorable off sites mineral for the right reasons. memorable because we get good stuff down and there's accountability, all that kind of stuff that many of us really struggled to achieve. I've got one of London's top breathwork practitioners on Jamie Clements. He's going to come talk about the role of breath work and personal development. I love that episode and it has sent me down to rerecord it to her sent me down a rabbit hole of understanding how I use my breath. And then one of my current favorite topics is psychedelics. Altered States and psychedelics. If you follow me on any of the social platforms like LinkedIn, or Instagram, you'll know I've had my own experiences with this. And I've got someone coming in to talk about their Ayahuasca journey, and psilocybin journeys because I want to shed some light on these on this on the process of altered states. It doesn't always have to require taking substances you can achieve altered states through through breathwork. And through Gong baths. Because I think there's a lot here for those of us who have interest in personal development and growing as human beings. These are very interesting tools to consider. There are going to be at least two episodes of your questions answered with my guests and Fab co host Rona Steinberg. And the next two episodes that we've recorded. One covers, how to deal with a colleague who has body odor. What do you do that? How do you give them feedback? And also the big topic of procrastination, which I think all of us can relate to? And as soon as I list all of this out, I realized how how am I just launched a cover on this podcast. And that's exciting. This is only a very small part of a very long list of topics and people that I've got a document that I keep track talking about season two as if I have it all planned out. I don't I have guests booked for the next three months and I trust that new guests and topics will come across my field as time goes on and we'll include them in in the show. I want to thank you for listening to the show. It means everything to me. Hit subscribe wherever you listen so you don't miss the next episode. And I hope you enjoy Season Two as much as I have enjoyed creating and dreaming it up until next week when season two starts officially with a discussion with Laura Reagan about her family dynamics shows up at work. This is your wing woman signing off
