In high school, her math abilities took a toll, but she went on to do her undergrad and graduate degrees in math and finance. Vanessa loves to talk about the importance of starting conversations about money early on with kids and teens. She also talks about the challenges she's faced as a Hispanic woman in the finance industry and how being the only one in the room has impacted her.
