Just before America struck Iran killing Qasem Soleimani, President Trump launched his Evangelicals for Trump coalition in Miami, Fla. This was on the heels of an editorial Christianity Today denouncing his Presidency.

We are watching living through the beginnings of a civil war between Evangelical and Liberal Christians in America as evangelical leaders such as Jimmy Bakker’s comments concerning believers salvation in connection to their acceptance of Trump as "God Sent". Trumps spiritual advisor Paula Whites commentary concerning Trump being surrounded by "Godly People", is only a microcosm of a divide that has been brewing for years.
