Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Passionate about Men's Mental Health and Healthy Modern Relationships
Born into a multi-racial, bi-cultural family in Asia, I developed an insatiable curiosity about the customs and cultures of relationships as I traversed between different societies. Everywhere I went, I observed and questioned how people fell in love, stayed in love, and sought hints as to what made healthy relationships thrive. This, coupled with my own journey to love when I met my husband, eventually led me into the field of Marriage and Family Therapy and to the pursuit of my master's degree and licensure as a marriage and family therapist.
After years of research, clinical work with couples, and immersion in the field of therapy, I distilled my observations and insights into the fundamentals of a healthy relationship- The STRONG model of relational therapy. This framework, honed through years of practice and study, serves as a beacon for couples seeking to navigate the complexities of modern love through an attachment-based, trauma-informed perspective.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by men in today's society, I penned "STRONG: A Relationship Field Guide for the Modern Man". This book is a testament to my commitment to empowering men to cultivate meaningful connections and navigate the ever-changing landscape of relationships with confidence and resilience.
Through my work, I aim to provide couples with enduring anchors for success, offering support and guidance as they navigate the complexities of modern love. With a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of relationships, I strive to empower couples to forge connections that withstand the tests of time.
