My name is Scott A. Stanfield. I’m an entrepreneur and visionary investor with a robust foundation in both the scientific and business realms. My career has evolved from being a dedicated research scientist to a full-time investor and entrepreneur. This journey reflects my relentless pursuit of knowledge, innovation, financial expertise, and ultimately, financial freedom.
My Professional Journey
My professional path began with earning a PhD in Engineering, leading to fifteen years as a Research Scientist at Innovation Scientific Solutions, Inc., and the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio. published fourteen scientific journal articles and presented over thirty papers at various scientific conferences on a wide range of topics related to aerospace and physics, including hypersonic fluid dynamics – flight and ground-based testing – the development of advanced diagnostics and algorithms, and the characterization of plasma discharges. I received multiple awards for my contributions.
However, my curiosity and passion for deep learning and innovation extended beyond engineering, leading me to work towards understanding and optimizing investment strategies primarily motivated by retirement planning, which quickly grew into much more. In 2010, I ventured into real estate as a side investment, starting with a single-family home and then expanding into luxury condos in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. I made plenty of mistakes, and fortunately, none were catastrophic. My response was to develop a business plan with processes to reduce the likelihood of mistakes, increase profitability, reduce my working hours, and minimize risk. By 2017, my investments in turnkey rental properties spanned seven states, amassing a portfolio valued at over $3 million. Today, I continue to actively manage and grow my turnkey rental property business.
My Investment Philosophy
My investment endeavors are driven by a profound passion for understanding financial instruments and economics. This dedication to knowledge led me to develop predictive financial models and cohesive strategies, which I have implemented effectively in real estate as well as in stock and options investing. Entering the world of stocks and options trading in 2016 and 2017, I created multiple automated algorithmic trading programs that delivering consistent, above-average returns.

I have established myself as an entrepreneur with ownership in several businesses focusing on real estate, publishing, and financial investments. Embracing entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve successfully led complex projects, driven commercial success, and fostered sustainable business models. My latest venture is founding Tuxedo Press, LLC, and publishing Passive Profits: The Turnkey Rental Investor’s Guide, encapsulating my real estate investment expertise and success.
