Born into a multi-racial, bi-cultural family in Asia, I developed an insatiable curiosity about the customs and cultures of relationships as I traversed between different societies. Everywhere I went, I observed and questioned how people fell in love, stayed in love, and sought hints as to what made healthy relationships thrive. This, coupled with my own journey to love when I met my husband, eventually led me into the field of Marriage and Family Therapy and to the pursuit of my master's degree and licensure as a marriage and family therapist.
After years of research, clinical work with couples, and immersion in the field of therapy, I distilled my observations and insights into the fundamentals of a healthy relationship- The STRONG model of relational therapy. This framework, honed through years of practice and study, serves as a beacon for couples seeking to navigate the complexities of modern love through an attachment-based, trauma-informed perspective.
