The San Joaquin Valley is the heart of California's massive agricultural industry and where many Latino and low-income people in under-resourced communities have dry or polluted wells.
Many of these people work in the fields that are a main cause of the problem - agriculture pumps the groundwater and pollutes it with fertilizers, pesticides, and manure.
