Top three podcast for me
Long time listener. This podcast has become my go-to podcast for when I need a laugh, want to zone out, or just want to get nostalgic for my youth. Damon and DJ’s chemistry is top tier. You can tell they’ve been friends forever and (as cliche as this may sound) you get the sense that you’re their friend too. Just such an easy podcast to enjoy. Even the episodes about shows or movies I never cared for are amongst my favorites. Just go binge listen to them and tell me I’m wrong. Love these guys and I hope they record episodes together for years to come.

Hilarious and smart and all the things
Basically at the end of the day, it's the podcast that's perfect for whatever mood I'm in. If they drop an episode, I'll listen to it before anything else. Good people and a great show.

These two are fun to listen to.
That’s all you need to know. Queer friendly and quick witted, the long term friendship shows with these hosts. That friendly chemistry is exactly what a good podcast needs. If you’re a child of the 80s, or just a fan of movies, this is a fun ,lighthearted, whimsical podcast that you’ll enjoy! Happy listening‼️📻

6 stars?
I would have given this 6/5 stars, but Damon voted against Tommy Boy.

Your inner child IS an idiot
And so is your current self if you’re not listening to this pod. For an insightful review on this pod, read any of the other 5 star reviews. For now, from me, it’s the best. Just listen.

The perfect Gen Z nostalgia podcast?
DJ and Damon are hilarious, insightful, and entertaining throughout these podcasts. I really appreciate their blend of snark and wit with refined film critique; it allows me as a listener to get a mix of MST3K w/Siskel & Ebert. I also really appreciate the more sensitive cultural lens they view these somewhat-dated movies with, in respect to the treatment/casting women, people of color and the LGBTQ community. Plus, this has saved me from rewatching awful movies from my childhood while ALSO inspiring me to rewatch movies I may have otherwise passed on. Thanks guys, I really love your show!

Total Superstars
DJ and Damon are two of the funniest and most genuine hosts of any movie podcast I listen to. I tell everyone who needs a combination of nostalgia and genuine comedy to listen to this podcast. I’ve been listening since 2017 and I am a lifelong fan.

Love it
My friend recommended Your Inner Child Is an Idiot to me years ago, and I’m so glad he did! Damon and DJ are really funny, and I enjoy hearing their perspective on entertainment I loved from the past. I highly recommend this podcast to others!!

Great Podcast
This is a podcast pertaining to nostalgic pop culture from the hosts' past. The greatest majority of pop culture reviewed is movies, with a few shows and a video game or two. Great back and forth between two guys who have obviously know each other for a good while. Very funny condensed re-caps of the plots. It is fun to hear the occasional input from their significant others as relayed by the hosts. I can't recommend it too highly.

Funny. Entertaining. Engaging. What else could you want?!?!
As an avid comedy podcast fan, this is great. Structured in a logical manner, equal parts descriptive and reflective, and GREAT co-hosting chemistry. It is fun how they compare and contrast what they thought at the time (and their personal connection with the subject) with their impressions now after rewatching. Looking forward to more from these guys! Full disclosure: Damon is a vague acquaintance of mine from college.

Passable Audio
This is my favorite movie review podcast! Not only will the commentary leave you feeling like you just wrapped an intensive ab workout, but the audio is spectacular. No garbage mics for these two! TRUE professionals!

Hilarious!!
I just recently discovered this podcast, but after just a few episodes, I am in love with it. DJ and Damon rewatch movies and shows from (mostly) the 90s with an adult perspective and comment (hilariously) in them. The banter is easy and fun. You get the feeling they would meet and do this even if they didn’t record a podcast. SO GOOD!

Well done!!
So I started with the Gremlins 2 review... FREAKING HILARIOUS! Made me want to watch it again after all these years because I had forgotten how many gags were there! Well done guys, subscribed now to binge all the previous episodes!

This is my new favorite podcast
I saw an ad and listened to one and now I’m hooked. My favorites so far were Face/Off and the Princess Bride.

Hidden Gem
This is by far one of my favorite podcast. They are a blast to listen to and deserve a far bigger audience.

My stomach hurts
From laughing

Oh, the wit!
If I had the wit DJ and Damon have in their respective pinky fingers, my life would be more complete. Love the structure of this podcast. The nostalgia, the badly sung theme music, the “what I remember part,” the invitation to watch with, the synopsis/analysis, the final verdict, but most of all, the banter. Highly recommended.

Funniest podcast...ever? Maybe!
This podcast was recommended in Overcast. I think it is one of the funniest podcasts I have heard regardless of genre. The two host are very funny and really seem to enjoy doing the show. If you like HDTGM or Flophouse, this one is even better.

Funny stuff
These guys have great chemistry and, despite the fact that this is a not-so-serious podcast, they have truly insightful reviews. Definitely recommend.

Definitely funny
I didn't really think that reviewing films/music/TV shows from my childhood would be funny, but turns out...I was wrong. This is a really funny podcast; DJ and Damon have great chemistry, playing off each other towards the most random, unexpectedly funny ends. Despite my disagreements with them on some of their reviews, I still laugh during every episode. Don't miss this comedy podcast!

Pure Joy
I love listening to these guys. I'm 37 so I feel like I am sort of their target audience - all of the movies are familiar (some of the movies they review I watched a million times as a kid) and I even love listening to the episodes about movies I haven't seen. Their comedy is quick, smart and they make me happy. I am so glad I stumbled upon this podcast.

Nastalgia at its best
Snarky, smart, self-deprecating and legitimately funny look back at the questionably popular culture of our wasted youth. Definitely worth a listen.

Laugh Out Loud (lol)
One of the few shows out there that literally has me laughing out loud. Great wit and chemistry between the hosts.

One of my all time favorites!
I'm so glad I found this podcast and hope tons of other people do, so Damon & DJ make these forever. I look forward to them a lot because they're consistently funny, fun to listen to, and even when they laugh at their own jokes sometimes, it's never annoying! My boyfriend and I look forward to new episodes coming out and plan out listening to them together. Thanks for making one of the best podcasts I've ever subscribed to!

Seriously. F'ing. Funny.
If you were born in the 80s or 90s, you'll love this. Seriously f-ing funny, and seriously nostalgic. Two guys riff on the shows we grew up with, with an eye on just how dated it is. I heartily recommend this!

Did not expect to laugh outloud so many times
Imma be real here: I know the host DJ personally and have always found him funny in conversation. But I listen to a LOT of comedy podcasts and I know that not everyone’s sense of humor translates well to this format. These guys legitimately made me laugh outloud more than once, which is a big deal. Good chemistry between the hosts. Great topics. Every pilot episode has rough edges but I think these guys are on track to create a can’t-miss comedy podcast for us 80s/90s kids.

Funny, nostalgic
Damon is hilarious!
