Lucy, our Milking Goat is very accommodating and somewhat musical! Used video candy.com free editor and it somehow repeated part of the video. Otherwise it’s beautiful and somewhat entertaining!
Snowball, not a name we chose, but somewhat suiting, is our Milking Goat. She blessed us with two new kids tonight! A boy, and a girl, we think. We’ll be able to tell for sure in the daylight tomorrow. Snowball is a great, and usually, gentle milker who milked for…
A short, rather explosive, downfall! Of Rain, while the Thunder Rolls and the Lightning Flashes! Here at Briden Farm.
So,E of the Sites and Sounds of the Festival acadien de Clare Grand Parade 2024. It’s not often we take time away from the Farm but today was an exception and we went to the Festival acadien de Clare in Church Point, Digby County, Nova Scotia.
This is a short clip of the Grand Finale that was actually much longer!
This was one of the more lively Floats! Lots of preparation and hard work obviously went into this float presented with live demonstrations by the First Contact Karate Club. The over all Parade was so Grand we’re going to edit and upload it later. #bridenfarm #BearRiverCherryCarnival

Our Garden has definitely suffered this year. It was too dry, then, to wet, and then to hot, to get it tended to. In order to help keep moisture in it we allowed the weeds to grow! It helped, the weeds grew really well! The other thing it did was…
The end of August 2022 we moved our Goats to The Barn Property. This Spring we moved them home to #BridenFarm and this is the last pasture they were in a couple years ago. Prior to that it was woodland, with little if any grass. As You can see, it…
Our Goats at Briden Farm serve many functions, from providing Milk, Cheese, Whey, and sometimes Butter, to trimming and pruning woodlands to help produce beautiful pastures and even gardens.

This video gives you an idea of what it’s like to take loose, natural, organic, hand cut hay from the field to the Barn Hay Mow.
Making Hay by hand isn’t something that’s done here, locally, anymore but it is rewarding. To learn more please read the Blog Post, “Making Hay 5 June 2024, located at BridenFarm.com/makinghay
I created this video using “Invideo Ai” and think it does it decent job!
Yesterday we brought most o& our Goats home from The Barn Property. We introduced them to their new Woodland Pasture last night, and this morning I milked Snowball, and Lucy. I recorded it, and it’s one of my favourite videos. Listening to the birds, watching the other goats, and seeing…
Lara, our two year old Berkshire Sow, and her year old daughters, Ginger and Mosley getting their treats and some extra water. I love hearing happy Pigs! Slurping and Eating and Wagging, or Spinning, their tails. The girls’ Father was a Red Mangalitsa.
Roscoe loves swimming in the River so much, he gets muddy on purpose at The Barn Property so we’ll stop on the way home to let him go for a swim. He gets excited when he sees where we’re going and starts whining the same as he does when we…
You have to hear it to believe it! Goats pick up on the mood of the Milker, so when I milk them I sing. About three days ago Snowball, our Saanen Doe started singing along with me! Our friend Lisa come by and was able to record it for us.…
Maybe we should have called this video, Teaching Farm Babies to Eat Grass! Cause it is a small, but very significant part of this video. Yesterday we showed your the Mom’s and their new babies on pasture. Today, we added our Bottle Baby Lamb, Briden and Terri’s little buckling, male…
In August 2022 we were asked to come to The Barn Property and keep the fields from growing in with invasive plants and trees. Most of the fields are now looking much different having benefited from our goats, pigs, and other animals. One particular section has been the least worked…
Baby and Momma Sheep and Goats out on pasture for the first time! It’s cute to see how close Ebony, the little black ewe lamb, sticks to her Momma, Dolly. Little Princess, the goat kid, certainly isn’t impressed when she finds herself alone and without Momma, and the Wet-nurse, Ginger,…
On, or about, April 11, SPCA Officer Jade Bloom came to our house, responding to a complaint about an ad I placed on Kijiji to sell kittens to pay for spaying the mother cat. I told her the kittens would be properly homed and the mom would be spayed. Not…
