Awesome podcast

Erica has a great voice and always tells it like it is! Her compassion for the victims is evident. She gives a lot of background on the victims and the perpetrators. My favorite True Crime Podcast!

I get so excited every time a new episode drops! I listen to quite a bit of true crime podcasts and this show is at the top of my list.

I’ve listened to every episode…once I started listening I could not stop. I’m from Arkansas (GO HOGS!) & a criminal defense attorney & this is one of my favorite podcast. I don’t like a lot of true crime podcast b/c they try to be cheeky or sensational. Erica keeps is real…real respectful & real about the people she’s telling the story about. All the haters need to just move on- this is for REAL true crime enthusiast who want to understand what causes these events to occur ~ not just details of a horrific crime. Keep on Keepin’ on, Erica.

True Crime Storytelling At Its Finest

I absolutely love the intermingling of history, psychology, and storytelling that this podcast brings- it’s my favorite for how beautifully the three are intertwined.

A True Crime Favorite

The host does a great job of telling all sides of the story, including the why. Some crimes make no sense, but Erika outlines early life events that may form potential psychopathic behaviors. The why is what makes true crime so interesting, especially in podcast retelling. Her southern style and sensibilities make it entertaining as well. Southern Fried is a favorite listen.

Love this podcast!

I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love Erica Kelley and this podcast! She has a beautiful calm voice and tells it just like it is with alittle spunky and personality. If you want emotionless facts watch the news but if you want a deep dive into the who,what and why with alittle bit of personality, this is for you! Erica says exactly what I'm thinking when I am listening!

Wonderful podcast

I really enjoy this podcast! Erica has a soothing voice and the stories are well researched. I appreciate the background provided and the glimpses into the personal history of the perpetrators. Top 5 of my true crime podcasts

It is impossible to remove the context from true crime and it still remain true. This podcast does a great job describing the atmosphere in which the crime occurred, which is critical to understanding. The Manson Murders aren’t the Manson Murders without the context of hippie and celebrity culture, disillusionment, and the cult era. The slaying of grandparents by a young couple is nothing without the context of abuse, homophobia, and southern evangelicalism

The BEST podcast!!

Erica and her team are truly the best. I’ve listened to every episode, and most, a couple of times over. I’m also apart of the FB group she mentions at the end of an episode, and it’s the best corner of the internet. I feel like they’re all my friends. They’re helpful, funny and sassy. As always, we worship Dolly. ❤️

Crime with a side of Southern charm

Erika and her team really know how to put together a story. Her delivery is just *chefs kiss*. She researches her episodes and provides so much information that it’s almost like you can envision the scene just by listening. SFTC is in my top 3 and I often find myself replaying old episodes just to experience them over. You won’t regret adding this one into your line up. Erica nails the narrator role, and she does a wonderful job telling the story honestly from the perspective of the victim or their loved ones. She’s got a touch of sarcasm but if you listen to her delivery you can clearly tell when she’s using a marathon tongue in cheek. I really enjoy this pod and I’m going to stay supporting it as long as it exists! Thanks Erica and Haley!

Facts, Compassion, Empathy, Awareness

If you want murder-porn, this is not for you. This podcast is dedicated to getting stories out truthfully, respectfully, and without attracting weird people who only listen to true crime because they want to hear about torture and gore (super disrespectful). Erica Kelley is a master storyteller. She fought through her own health issues to continue telling stories that matter. Stories that are based in fact and set the record straight. It’s so odd to me that people would leave negative reviews because they’re angry that she refuses to stoop to “murder-porn”. Gross.

Great Podcast

I look forward to listening to this podcast on my walks and as my bedtime stories, even though I never remember what I listen to. Erica’s voice is so relaxing that it helps me fall asleep. “That’s a compliment.” I don’t mind listening to episodes again. Keep up the hard work. I really appreciate what you do.

Excellent storytelling

Erica tells the whole story. She tells the reasons or possible motivation behind the crimes. She does not glorify or over condemn the people involved. She’s like an old time news anchor. She tells the story completely and lets the audience feel how they want. I really enjoy listening to this podcast.

Y’all are in for A TREAT!

Erica Kelly and her team do an incredible job on the research for the show. She gives great insight into how killers and criminals MAY have headed down the wrong path without ever excusing their crimes. And MOST importantly, she never forgets the victims,who are so ofter overshadowed in the media. She goes in to detail about them, their lives, those impacted by their loss. An the cherry on top is her amazing voice and delivery

Top notch researching and great delivery. I have had a cocktail and am going to use too many adjectives. So to help the redundancy, Erica is fanfreakintastic, a story teller to keep you interested and sad to hear each episode end. Go ahead and start at the beginning, you won’t regret it!

Don’t Miss this One

Erica is great. I especially like how she begins with the town history. It sets the stage. She gives background of the killer which is helpful in understanding how these terrible crimes occur. How can we hope to change anything without knowing that? Her sassy southern style is wonderful. I can’t wait for the next episode.

Best True Crime Ever!

I am from Northwest Alabama & I have always been a true crime lover. Erika has the best voice, and absolutely does an amazing job with this podcast. I look forward to the new ones every Month. Nothing like a glass of wine, laying on my bed swing on the porch in the summertime listening to her. My kids know mamas listening to her crime shows when I put the air pods in. I have yet to find anything better than Southern Fried True Crime.

Narrative style

I prefer narrative / story telling type of podcast and this is definitely one of my favorites . Erica has a great voice. the stories are well researched & told in a respectful but insightful way . One of the few podcasts that make me so excited when i see a new episode has dropped .
