This is by far my favorite podcast. I love how Erica covers the cases. I’m totally hooked on this podcast. Southern Fried True Crime for the win :)

Erica does an amazing job telling a story that honors the victims, sometimes this even means understanding the legacy of abuse that create offenders. Her stories are well written and researched and it feels like you’re listening to a story from your best friend. Erica is open minded and inclusive, she stands up for those that need it!

Love it!

This podcast is my favorite, for many reasons. I love the background Erica gives so we can really tell where each story has taken place. I love her little “Southern sass” when telling each story. I also love that she is honest, if she believes a statement to be true or not, she says it. I can tell the entire team puts their heart into this show. Will be a listener for life!

The best!

Love this show, Erica really puts together a great story, beginning to end. Awesome research about the story, back story and reasons why this could have happened without being bias towards one or the other. I could listen to her talk all day! Keep up the great work!!!!

That sweet southern drawl

Erica has a voice that pulls you in. Once you are pulled in she doesn’t just give you a story she gives you the entire story! Love that she includes many different points… you the listener will be well informed!

Great Storytelling

The best

I’ve been “into” true crime pods since before they were a thing, and SFTC is one of the best out there. Erika is compassionate and sharp and always paints a gorgeous picture of whatever particular location and culture is relevant to the story. She has a deep understanding of human nature and the complexities involved in crime. I’m always sad I have to wait another week for an episode once the new one is finished!

AMAZING Podcast. Keep doing what you do.

I fell in love with this podcast within minutes of listening to my first episode. The quality was apparent and the content was so detailed, well-researched and both passionately and expertly delivered. By the time I was a few episodes in I was absolutely hooked. I don’t know who needs to hear this but people’s actions are a direct consequence of their past experiences and life events. This very much applies to murderers and other criminals and it’s something that I personally seek to know about every perpetrator in every podcast I listen to. It’s very naive to think every criminal is just evil and that’s what drives their actions. Understanding a person’s past helps me understand the person. Erica does an amazing job painting a complete picture so I can understand. Highly, highly recommend this podcast to anyone who likes true crime even a little.

Love this Podcast

Erica does an amazing job researching and giving the facts. She shared information that will make you think. I read some of the not so great reviews and I completely disagree with some of their comments. She tells a great story and has a very relaxing voice. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is one of my absolute favorites! Thank you Erica, keep doing exactly what you have been! Great podcast!!

Southern Crime is a gem

This podcast is insightful, well written and researched, always looking at the why of it at all. Taking into account background around both the criminal and the victims it is insightful and well done. And her voice is like honey.

Definitely worth a listen

I love Erica’s stories and how thoughtfully they are researched and told. Her soothing southern accent and witty commentary definitely makes hearing some of these awful stories worth listening to.

Well researched - one of my favorites

Well researched and the delivery is good. Erica does a fantastic job of laying out the backstory of the cases she covers and never forgets the victims of crime. While I have seen some reviews that complain that she makes excuses for a criminal’s behavior, that is NOT the case. While she does give background information on what may have led someone to commit a crime, it is merely an explanation of possible factors/motivations. That is not the same as an excuse. Keep up the good work!
