The Alday Family Murders
Erica is an amazing storyteller who uses compassion and empathy when speaking of the victims. She does a great job describing the events, even when they may be hard to hear. She has a soothing voice that draws you into the story. Keep up the good work!

The deep dive!
Found this podcast last week and I haven’t listened to anything else since. I’ve been playing catch up! I really enjoy the host and how she brings you the full story. If you are into true crime this one’s a good one to binge!

Great podcast
Heaven forbid someone has their “own” opinions on anything. So many haters. If you want someone without one move along. I personally love her and thankful for her passion.

Great Delivery
I’m a new listener. So glad I found you. Your voice and delivery of every story are great. I am enjoying each episode.

You freaking NAILED it today
Wow. You are so very very talented. Storytelling at it’s absolute best.

Usually a great podcast
Your podcast is one of my favorites, but the one about Rick Lohstroh felt very off. There is no such thing as mutual abuse. Rick Lohstroh was arrested seven times for domestic violence against his wife, which he perpetrated in front of his kids. He was even arrested for violence against his son. His fight for custody sounded a lot more like an abuser trying to continue to hurt and control his ex than a loving father who truly wanted to be with his kids. Deborah sounds like a battered woman who did her best to try to protect her kids inside of a sexist legal system that gives preference to men and makes excuses for men, just as you did when you blamed his violence and abuse on his stressful job. I thought you knew better than to say something like that.

Great episode!
Unfortunately if anyone looks deeper into these child shooter/mass shooting cases you’re going to find that those children are on a psychiatric medication and they do cause homicidal and suicidal ideation. I do love this podcast but I can’t stand the ignorance around what these psychiatric drugs are doing to children and teenagers.

The Best!
I subscribe to a lot of podcasts and I have to admit this is one of my very favorites. Ms. Kelly puts a lot of time and effort into each case and it shows. Not to mention her voice is so pleasant to listen to. I also like that it's just her, not a group of people getting drunk and going totally off the script. That's so annoying. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone!

ESP 176
I wondered if you veered chuckled while doing these episodes. I love this podcast

Really good true crime podcast
GREAT voice, little commentary and engaging stories which bring victims back to life a bit. Her grammar is on point and she has none of those obnoxious vocal/mouth issues (smacking, licking her teeth, audibly swallowing, etc). So on top of being a great storyteller and researcher, she SOUNDS good. Five stars for me.

Great podcast!!
Love how this podcast gets to the point! Great storyteller!! Absolutely amazing!!!

Excellent storyteller
Great voice and excellent writing. New favorite.

Great Content
So happy to have stumbled upon this podcast-I love your story telling and your voice! Great content:)

You do realize southerners have accents, right?
For all of you complaining about her accent, you obviously didn’t pay attention to the name of the podcast. I’d love to here y’all’s (yes, I used improper southern grammar) proper pronunciation. As a fellow southerner, I can’t stand people that think they are better and talk down to someone because they have a twang. I might speak with a draw but at least I was raised with manners and to treat others with respect regardless of where they are from. The ignorance, bless your hearts.

Great podcast except…..
Her voice drives me crazy; it’s like she could be doing an 800 #

Need more!
I love your podcast! I need more, so much more! I can’t wait to see you have new ones available. Thank you for all you do! I could listen to you all day, everyday.

Great podcast
The only problem is she doesn’t produce much new content.

I love this podcast
Definitely my favorite true crime podcast! Thank you Erica!!!!! As other reviews have mentioned, the shows are irregularly updated but anyone who is a real fan knows that Erica has some health issues. Im sure she will be back and whispering great/ awful stories to us when she is feeling better!!

Awesome!
I love this podcast!!!! Erica rocks! Update- I still love this podcast but there’s no rhyme or reason as to when she drops episodes and there’s always some lame excuse why she hasn’t. It’s annoying. Update to the update- over a month and no new episode or explanation why…

More please!
Love the host, love the cases and the respectful ways she presents them. Well written and researched. Despite being tragic topics, Erica is very soothing in her show. Knocked a star back because new episodes are so far and few between :(

Great podcast
This podcast is my motivation for my daily walk so that I can listen as I do.

Love me some Southern Fried True Crime
As a southern lady and true crimer, I LOVE this podcast. Not only are the crimes fascinating, I appreciate how Erica goes into the criminals background. Yes, people are responsible for the things they do in their lives. BUT, as we all know our environment shapes us into the person that we are today. I don't believe Erica excuses the killer, she mearly explains their lives previous to the crimes. For me, it's a must listen!

So Good
This TC pod just keeps getting better and better. The deep dives that Erica and her team did on the Peterson and Darlie Routier cases were so well done. Highly recommended.

Great podcast
I really do love this podcast which is why I give 5 stars, but the Michael Peterson story was way too biased and made it hard to listen to. Throw those out and 5 stars

Love love love SFTC
Erica truly sets the bar for true crime podcasts! I’ve now listened to every single episode and I can’t wait for the next one! Take a bow Ms. Kelley…you deserve it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Coercive Control Spotlight BRAVO!
Hi Erica. You’ve done a great job on this podcast since it began. I have really enjoyed it. Thank you so much! The latest episode, featuring a case on Intimate Partner Abuse and Coercive Control, was expertly done! I especially appreciate the credit given to Laura Richards for her hard work on Coercive Control recognition and the role it plays in Intimate Partner Abuse and, particularly “Murder in Slow Motion!” Thank you, Erica! And please continue the great work you are doing on this and the Dirty Money Moves podcast! You are amazing! Yes, things have been getting a little political lately, which really irritates me since we’re talking True Crime. But overall, Erica still impresses me with insights and information not discussed on other shows. Great job on Staircase. Keep it up and maybe edit out some “woke, I live in California now” stuff. ❤️

Editing Has Fallen Off
I know it cannot be simple to edit a good 2+ hours of recordings and I do enjoy the podcast but a lot of the latest episodes have been edited horribly. Sentences are cut off and never finished, she’ll announce a commercial break and never go to commercial, whole segments are repeated, one episode even had a sudden loud noise that made my ears start ringing. Overall it’s distracting and can sometimes make the storyline a bit confusing.

Great podcast
I love Erica’s voice and the subjects she chooses to cover. Her research is in-depth and her commentary is well thought out and informative. This latest “Neverending Staircase” series is a banger! Great job Erica!!

One of my top 3
This has consistently been one of my top 3 pods for years. Thoroughly researched. Pleasant voice/pace. I generally agree with the personal viewpoints of the host. I especially appreciated the recent series on the Kathleen Peterson case and that Erica has taken the very unpopular stance that Michael is innocent. She’s got the facts and evidence to back up her opinion and it’s nice to hear this case covered from this POV. Ignore the whiners in these reviews complaining that it’s “too woke”. Erica has been consistent with her views and opinions and they’re reliably empathetic and compassionate. If you think there’s something wrong with that, you should take a long look at yourself.

Best podcast I have ever listened to!
This is so well researched! I just finished the episode about the Texas beauty accused and jailed for killing her husband, and the podcaster did an amazing job researching EVERYTHING about the background!
