I love this Podcast not just because I’m a Southerner, but I learn about stories that typically I have never heard about. It makes house work go such more smooth when I can put an airpod in one ear and just listen away. Love Southern Fried True Crime! Keep up the good work!

Complete fan girl!!! Ok so I absolutely love this podcast. I mostly listen on Spotify but I have to download and rate on each app. I’ve joined the FB group and let me tell you it’s been getting me through! Keep up the good work, I can’t wait until you have your own ID Show like Candace DeLong.

Ehhhh

Loved this at first but after time the woke narrative becomes very apparent- We get it white ppl suck………The town history thing gets old and without any guest or recordings so does her voice.

Only complaint is the ads are so much louder than Erika’s voice. Always startled me when an ad comes on. I wish the ad volume would match host’s volume. I love relistening as I fall asleep.

Southern Charm, With a Twist

Erica is a good storyteller, does a lot of good research, and doesn’t suffer fools, ridiculous criticism, or political idiocy. This is a smart, concise, and interesting podcast. One of my faves!

The perfect podcast!

Erica and her team present a well written and researched story that satisfies the curiosity in their audience. Then, Erica adds the Southern flair by telling you exactly what she thinks. I usually agree with her and if I don’t, I find myself thinking and considering later. She usually has a solid point, even if I see a different side. Working my brain is why I’m here, so thank you!

I've been listening for 4 years and Erica always serves up a new and interesting case with some good sympathy or straight up sass. To Erica personally, I appreciate that you connect some of these cases to real life happenings and get political. It's not always political, it's just when it's necessary. Thank you for doing so.

Detailed, yet Thoughtful

The host gives detailed accounts of these horrific stories while always maintaining the dignity of the victims. She puts a lot of thought and consideration into the words she uses which shows she really cares about the awareness she brings to some very sensitive material. These one star reviews presented based off of one episode that they may disagree with (the Darlie Routier relentless innocent camp comes to mind) is ridiculous especially since those people openly support a child murderer. Keep up the great work, Erica and team!!! The real reviewers love you.

Love Erika’s attention to Details

Sometimes I don’t want banter. I just want to get right into the story and get all the facts and Erika provides that. There have been at least two stories where she has totally changed my opinion based on the facts she’s provided. Darlene Gentry being the most recent story.

SFTC is my favorite podcast. Erica is amazing. She lays the stories out perfectly and I love the extra spice she adds to her story telling. It doesn’t get better than this.

Well Done!

Well researched, thoroughly balanced and delivered. She adds to the stories by giving us a deep dive background information, which is especially helpful to those of us who are unfamiliar with southern regions/customs This podcast is worth your time and support. She does a great job.

Awesome content and reverence to the crime!

I been listening and loving a really long time. You deliver powerfully and with feeling, always respecting the victims. I like upbeat talk, and you let us know facts about the victim. Everybody was somebody. True crime is my genre, and I'm picky about who I listen to it from. Great job!

I have listended to a lot of true crime podcast but this one is by far my favorite now. I have gone back and listened to almost every episode she has. She is NOT BIAS either, I read a comment where someone said she was but that not true. Love her voice!

My favorite podcast !

Love this podcast ! Erica gets to the point, no “witty banter” between dueling hosts . No irreverent treatment towards the innocent . Soothing voice , which counts for A LOT . I will be subscribing to SFTC patreon .

Glad you are ok

First I am glad you are ok! Second your voice sounds fine - it is you. The running while female episode hit a nerve as my sister runs alone all the time. I have gotten her mace, tiger claws and self defense but I still worry. I wish she would share her runs but she knows I would harass her for taking the same route too many times. You have some opinions that drive me crazy but I love your voice and stories too much.

Erica is an excellent host! I just discovered this pod and started with E1 Season 1. I appreciate her opinions, which I frequently agree with, and love her voice. She’s a fabulous storyteller. I’m hooked! 😉

Erica

Erica does a great job of being a victim advocate. Her background for each episode adds so much to understanding the victim as well as the perpetrator and his/her motives. I love Erica's laid back southern style and her calm approach to each episode.

I listen to a LOT of true crime podcasts & Southern Fried is by far my favorite! I I’d take a new episode everyday if I could! Erica is so thorough and really covers what I consider the important stuff & tries to keep the facts as accurate as possible. One of the best

Not only are the stories riveting, but EK’s voice is very soothing and easy to listen to. I like that there’s no banter with a co-host, and she’s not trying to be entertaining, but just tells a great story about the facts.
